INHA University Hospital hosted the 2024 Advanced Regenerative Medicine Symposium on June 14, 2024. The symposium featured three sessions: “Basic research on advanced regenerative medicines”, “Gene therapy as a paradigm change in medicine” , and “Translational research on regenerative medicine”.

Haeyoung Suh-Kim, a professor at Ajou University College of Medicine and the CEO of CELLeBRAIN, introduced CELLeBRAIN’s platform technology of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-mediated gene therapy. Specifically, Suh-Kim highlighted significant points such as global landscape of gene-cell therapy in the field of solid tumor therapy and regeneration therapy for damaged tissues and proposed MSC as a cellular carrier to deliver therapeutic genes to target sites.

The CELLeBRAIN’s leading pipeline of MSC harboring a CD gene (MSC/CD) has successfully proved its safety in a  first-in-human trial with recurrent GBM (rGBM) patients. Additiionally the regenerative therapy of MSC harboring three THN genes also proved its efficacy in preclinical studies, promoting the regenerative function for damaged tissues through various modes.
